However, the convenience of global connectivity comes at a cost—the vulnerability of network infrastructures and systems to the malicious actions of cyber criminals and espionage agencies. **On average the US Navy blocks over 110,000 attacks every hour. That is 1833 attacks a minute and 30 attacks a second. ** No business, government, nongovernmental, or other organization of whatever size is invulnerable to cyber attacks. Business owners and executives cannot afford to put at risk the security and stability of their operating and financial systems, confidential information, intellectual property, and business transactions to cyber predators through lack of knowledge or initiative. **On average 71% of all email is SPAM, 4.4% is malicious and 0.01% is phishing.** The head of the National Security Agency and U.S. cyber-command said Monday that cyber-attacks shot up 44 percent in 2011 — and now account for the “greatest transfer of wealth in history.” **But who is actually getting hacked?** Large companies, such as Target, Ashley Madison, Hacking Team, Sony, and even third-party applications connected to services like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Apple’s iCloud. It’s no secret that no one is immune to cyber attacks.
